COD Mobile Season 6 Guide: Free FSS Hurricane, VTOL and Event Strategy

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 6 — Take Your Heart launched on 1 July 2026 with a major Persona 5 Royal collaboration, a new Plunder variant, a new Multiplayer mode, free Battle Pass unlocks, Ranked rewards, and seasonal events.

The most important gameplay additions are Plunder Treasure Hunt, Throwable Frenzy, the FSS Hurricane SMG, and the VTOL Jet Scorestreak. Activision also confirmed free milestone rewards through themed activities, a summer event, Ranked Play, and the Season 6 Challenge Pass.

Plunder Treasure Hunt explained

Plunder Treasure Hunt adds Persona 5 Royal elements to Battle Royale's Plunder mode on Isolated. The main Plunder objective remains collecting the in-match cash required to win. Activision states that the target is $1 million in match currency.

Special areas can become highlighted in red and are announced to all players. Inside the marked domain, squads can find a treasure objective guarded by three waves of game-controlled enemies. Completing the encounter opens the treasure and provides cash plus temporary masks that grant match bonuses.

The key risk is attention. Because every player receives the domain announcement, several squads may approach the same location. Entering immediately is not always the strongest decision.

A safer squad approach

• Assign one teammate to watch the surrounding route.
• Keep enough space to avoid the entire squad being trapped together.
• Check vehicles and cover before entering the marked area.
• Decide who collects the reward and who protects the exit.
• Leave when the objective is complete instead of staying without a purpose.

How to protect Plunder progress

Treasure Hunt rewards active play, but the winning condition is still tied to the squad's total cash. A team that completes a domain and then loses control of its resources may give away the advantage it worked to create.

Use clear roles

One player can lead movement, another can monitor nearby routes, and the remaining teammates can focus on the event objective. Roles do not need to be permanent. The important point is that every player knows the next action.

Rotate before pressure becomes unavoidable

Watch the map, listen for movement, and identify more than one exit. If another squad controls the strongest route, changing direction may be better than forcing a risky contest.

Communicate the cash plan

Call out when the team is close to its target and whether the current objective is still necessary. Greed can turn a strong position into a preventable setback. Once the squad has enough progress, play for survival and control.

Throwable Frenzy: movement and accuracy

Throwable Frenzy is a new 5v5 Multiplayer mode built around the Combat Axe. Teams score by hitting targets that appear around the environment, while opposing players can interfere with progress. The team with the highest score when time expires wins.

Standard Loadouts and Scorestreaks are not used. Players can instead select from three mode-specific buffs, which Activision says can be unlocked through tokens or by playing the mode.

Practical habits

• Keep the crosshair near likely target height while moving.
• Lead moving targets rather than aiming at their previous position.
• Change routes if one lane becomes crowded.
• Prioritise visible targets over chasing a single opponent.

FSS Hurricane: a close-range learning plan

The FSS Hurricane is the new Season 6 SMG and is available through the free Battle Pass tiers. Activision describes it as suited to sustained close-range engagements.

Before building a loadout from community recommendations, inspect the current weapon statistics and attachment descriptions in your version of the game. Balance changes can make an old setup inaccurate.

Three-step practice routine

1. Control: fire at a practice target and observe the recoil pattern.
2. Tracking: follow a moving target while maintaining short, controlled bursts.
3. Positioning: practise approaching through cover instead of crossing open ground.

The VTOL Jet is another free Battle Pass addition. Activision says it begins with a strike on the selected location, then remains overhead and targets nearby opponents.

A powerful Scorestreak still depends on timing. Calling it into an empty area wastes the opportunity, while waiting too long can leave it unused when the match ends.

• Deploy it where the enemy team is actively contesting an objective.
• Check whether indoor cover limits its value.
• Use teammate information before selecting the area.
• Continue supporting the objective instead of watching the streak.
• Remember that enemy movement can change after deployment.

The best use supports a team plan. It can pressure an active zone, interrupt a coordinated push, or create space for teammates to reposition.

Ranked rewards and steady progress

Season 6 introduced a new Ranked season. Activision identifies the SO-14 — Onyx Wrath Weapon Blueprint as a Multiplayer Ranked reward and the Enigma — Zavesa Operator Skin as a Battle Royale Ranked reward.

Ranked progress is more reliable when players focus on repeatable decisions rather than chasing highlights. Choose a small group of familiar weapons, warm up before the first match, and stop briefly if frustration begins affecting communication.

Persona 5 Royal and summer event rewards

The Persona 5 Royal themed event includes shooting-gallery activities inspired by locations from the collaboration. Players can hit floating targets and progress through milestone rewards. Activision lists a Nuclear Strike customisation option, themed weapons, a motorcycle skin, Weapon Charms, and Calling Cards among the available event items.

The separate summer event features the Urban Tracker — Summer Sunrise Operator Skin, M16 — Sparkling Citrus Weapon Blueprint, and additional charms. Other activities are scheduled to offer further rewards during the season.

Open the Events tab, read each task, and claim milestones as soon as they are complete. Do not assume that opening the game automatically claims every reward.

The Season 6 Challenge Pass uses Standard, Special, and Elite Missions. Completed tasks grant Tokens for the seasonal Exchange. Activision highlights the 3-Line Rifle — Variegated Corrosion Blueprint, Mission Debrief weapon camo, and Newtonian charm among the exchange items.
